WHY YOU'LL LIKE IT

The chapters are designed so that each family may select the materials suitable to their own needs, and time constraints. On days which are hectic, a family may choose to just sing a song, read a poem, or simply tell about the main idea of the lesson. The devotionals can be as simple or complex as desired. Each devotional is presented on two facing pages in an easy to follow, visually organized format. A brief summary of the lesson, "In A Nutshell," is provided with each devotional, and can be used by itself as a brief thought, if desired. The family may elect to utilize only a few devotionals from this volume, if they do not wish to use them on a daily basis. The cardstock ornaments ,included in the book, can be assembled all together as a family activity, or one per day. They may be hung on the family tree, a small separate tree, or even a garland, as a visual reminder of gospel principles. The ornaments can be labeled with date and name of the family member who colored them and saved as keepsakes. The Optional Materials, found in Section 2 of the book, can be used to enrich or vary the devotional from year to year. Many of the ideas in this book could be used to supplement Family Home Evenings, Primary lessons and other activities throughout the year.
